Jayke Cox ‘Beautiful Girl’ released

Doc Redeye continues the release of a series of singles by independent artists with the release of ‘Beautiful Girl’ by Jayke Cox.

He has been busy over the last few months developing his own unique style of music with producer Stephen D Reid, mixing acoustic sounds with rock undertones.

Jayke recently completed a music degree at Burnley; “The degree has given me a true insight into the industry, not only developing my performing skills but understanding the business and production skills needed to make a living”.

He has recently supported Gabriella Cilmi on her UK tour and has already made an impact and created a following with live performances and radio interviews including switching on the lights at Darwen and a stadium performance at Preston.

Jayke has a great singing feel and warmth to his voice; the songs are modern but maintain traditional song writing values creating a melodic style rarely seen in new releases over the last few years.

His first single will be available on all good downloads from 28th November and the video is available to look at on You Tube. For more information check out the Doc redeye website www.docredeye.com

Jayke Cox Supports Gabriella Cilmi

Local degree student Jayke Cox achieved his first break supporting international superstar Gabriella Cilmi on her UK tour. The opportunity to play came alongside a single deal with Doc Redeye Music to release a track in the summer, instigating his first serious step to a musical a career.

Jayke Cox and Gabriella Cilmi

The gig came as part of her UK tour giving Jayke a unique opportunity. “The experience of performing with a world class artist in front of a large audience has given me a great deal of confidence in my own material, and helped me to create an entire new fan-base”

Jayke began playing music at the age of 11 quickly finding an escape through the guitar and Ukelele. Born in Crawshawbooth he developed his talent through sessions at school. “I misbehaved as a kid, but the support I had at school helped me embrace music and find a creative side”

He played rugby for Rossendale , and although sport was an important part of his life he soon found his interest in performing taking over. As his playing ability developed he started playing gigs locally with various bands, further realising his love of playing live.

Joining Burnley College on a music BTEC course gave him the chance to take things more seriously, and successfully completing this allowed him to gain a place on the degree course at UcLan Burnley. “The degree has given me a true insight into the industry, not only developing my performing skills but understanding the business and production skills needed to make a living”.

A pre-release excerpt of Jayke’s first single will be available on Doc Redeye’s website towards the end of the month.

Milli Low – ‘Sweet Love’ released this week…

A new single ‘Sweet Love’ by Manchester singer Milli Low has been released this week across the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland and Europe on itunes, Tesco Entertainment and Amazon amongst many others.

Burnley College Foundation Degree students from Media Production, Music and Drama have worked alongside professionals on the video for the release that is now officially launched. The filming took place around Burnley culmination in a ‘Top of the Pops’ style shoot in ‘The Mix’ Burnley. The whole video took on a 60’s feel, with students dressing up and taking part in an excellent but hard working session.

The guest compare for the shoot, comedian Goeff Brown worked extremely well with the students to give them a true feeling of location shooting and the disciplines of being on a set.
